IBM Data Scientist in Norway
Job Description
We are seeking Data Scientists to extract knowledge or insights from structured or unstructured data. Drawing upon the practice of data analysis, using predictive analytics, data mining, pattern recognition, data modelling, machine learning and various statistical methods in order to solve large scale optimization problems and to understand the meaning behind vast data sets.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
MSc or PhD degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, etc.)
Experience with cleansing and preparing datasets for analysis
Has expertise in applying statistics or machine learning in a problem-solving environment with large, complex datasets
Has experience with hypothesis testing, clustering, regression & classification, social network analysis, optimization, text analysis and time series analysis.
Has experience with R and Python or equivalent
Has expertise in developing, validating and executing algorithms and models on large scale systems
Has experience with convey Data Science results in layman terms
Familiarity with SQL or similar database query language
Familiarity with data visualization applications, like RShiny, Tablaeu or Python plotting packages.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Experience with using big data tools (e.g. Hortonworks/IBM; Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
Previous data science project execution and industry experience
Fluency in a Scandinavian language is an advantage, but not an absolute requirement
