The role

As the Medical Advisor Respiratory you will act as a local respiratory expert and be responsible for collaborating with HCPs and share important scientific information to help inform clinical practice and ensure the appropriate use of established and future products. In the role, you will be the driving force behind providing medical input to the strategy and clinical development of the respiratory products. You will additionally contribute to international and regional studies with medical input on feasibility, choice of study centres, site follow-up and support, etc.

In order to deliver on strategy, you will enjoy a close internal cooperation with the Medical Affairs team, but also collaborate closely on a cross-functional level. The Medical Advisor will report to the Medical Team Lead.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop peer-level relationships and cooperation with Key External Experts (KEEs), other important decision makers, and researchers in a way that is consistent with the overall company strategy and objectives

  • Drive proactive and reactive customer interactions by collecting and sharing medical and scientific knowledge across the respiratory portfolio

  • Act as a Nordic/Baltic and/or local respiratory expert supporting other functions within area/s of expertise

  • Work across Medical Affairs Respiratory and Business Unit Respiratory to define brand strategies, cross functional operational plans, medical activity plans and key deliverables including value stories and reimbursement dossiers

  • Work closely with Medical Affairs Respiratory colleagues to execute the Medical Affairs Respiratory strategy

  • Identify new opportunities, collaborate and communicate medical projects (including ESRs)

  • Collaborate and provide support to Medical Information

  • Provide medical support to Regulatory Affairs

  • Review in the sign-off process across the whole portfolio

  • Be responsible for internal training in therapeutic areas and across the portfolio

  • Provide input to R&D on clinical trials and ensure an optimal collaboration

  • Assure tasks are of correct quality and in accordance with written procedures and current legal requirements and internal standards

Preferred requirements:

  • Master degree in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry or natural sciences

  • Thorough knowledge or experience with respiratory in the pharmaceutical industry and/or the Medical Affairs function

  • Excellent knowledge in English and fluent in Norwegian languages.

  • Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, health care systems and payer structures in the Nordic and/or Baltic countries

  • Possesses business oriented thinking, and can apply this without compromising the scientific elements of the work

  • Proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate scientific information

  • Ability to build strong professional relationships internally and externally

  • Structured and organized

  • Being able to keep deadlines without compromising on quality

  • High ethical standard and good knowledge in pharmaceutical marketing ethical framework

  • Driver’s license required
