Petroleum Technology network are looking for graduates within reservoir and production disciplines in different operational assets.

As a Graduate, you will start your transition from student to professional, with opportunities to contribute in some of the company’s most exciting subsurface disciplines.

The learning journey involves a combination of rotational assignments, structured learning through Statoil university and regular dialogues, feedback and mentoring. On-the-job experience is core to building the essential knowledge and experience you need to progress your professional development within the Petroleum technology network.

Graduates in Statoil will have a steep learning curve, and you are expected to develop an overall understanding of our activities and business challenges.

Job Description

Update and match production history for simulation models

Production and injection optimization

Investigate drainage strategies

Build and update reservoir simulation models

Plan well locations


Master’s degree or PhD with good academic record within petroleum technology (reservoir engineering), chemical engineering, mathematics, physics or another scientific line of university study

No more than two years of relevant fulltime work experience

Fluent in English and preferably a second working language

International work and/or study experience preferred

Extra curriculum activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
