Responsible for the execution of marketing communications activities, including strategy & planning, internal/external communication execution & support, client interaction & business partnership and people, resource & budget management.
20% STRATEGY &PLANNING
Using thorough knowledge of marketing and communication tools, influences and implements marketing communication strategies .
Utilize thorough expertise to suggest opportunities for internal and/or external communications, understanding both the business and customers’ needs.
Maintain creative direction, including features/functionality and value propositions (e.g. design, tone, messaging).
Collaborate with SMT Lead to develop a communication plan for the business
Together with Product specialists prepare marketing strategies and programs for a product or product line. Participate in evaluate product performance to help develop and update company goals and objectives. Recommend changes to current product development procedures based on market research and new trends
50%INTERNAL / EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION EXECUTION & SUPPORT
Execute and lead multi-channel marketing communications and promotion efforts (e.g. print, web, media).
Execute and implements the creative strategy of marketing communications projects (i.e. sales support, employee communications, newsletters, websites, social media, logo and VIS design, advertising, direct/web marketing, packaging, customer presentations and product prototyping, meeting/special events, and brand communication).
Manage material production/storage/logistics
Responsible for executing overall internal and external public relations communication strategy (e.g. press release and article development/approval, crisis communications, position statements, newsletters, internal websites, leadership updates, media relations).
Manage websites (internet and intranet) including: elements of design (navigation/user interface), administration (content management), release (coordination and implementation of new content, including site updates), brand management, and maintenance (IT support).
Implement the marketing communication strategy through maintenance and execution of communication channels (e-mail marketing, social media, blogs, mobile marketing, web content) by sourcing, writing, editing and publishing content.
25%CLIENT INTERACTION & BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
Traditional client relationship management responsibilities .
Frequently participate in the identification and negotiation of partnerships with standard agencies and provides input to the selection of key vendors.
Consultant to leadership team on communications.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive brands/products through marketing and sales collateral.
Partner with leadership team, shared services etc.within Cargill to ensure creative and tonal consistency of messaging and approach.
Lead marketing team in using the communication channels to increase revenue, brand/product awareness and consumer experience.
5%RESOURCE & BUDGET MANAGEMENT
Responsible for budget, reporting key performance metrics etc.
Responsible for cost estimating and tracking for projects.
Bachelor/Masters degree in relevant disciplines(degree in journalism, marketing, public relations or communications is highly preferred)
5 years marketing and communications experience (technology-focused public relations or journalism experience and/or experience within the salmon industry is strongly desired)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the talent to convert complex technical information into accessible, clear messaging. Fluent in Norwegian and English.
Deep understanding of traditional and new media, including social media expertise.
Structured and analytical with good planning and implementation capacity
Computer Skills including website development systems, photoshop and similar software packages.
Professional, outgoing, and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to network effectively and establish relationships with customers, partners, media contacts, influencers etc.
Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization and partner across various internal departments (including business development, marketing, product, sales etc.)
Good organizational, multitasking and strategic planning skills, coupled with the willingness to learn new skills
Strong presentation and storytelling ability; able to construct creative narratives that captivate, influence, persuade targeted audiences.
Ability to “think on your feet” and adapt quickly to changing, fluid circumstances
Strong marketing strategy expertise.
